I fell in love with Jared at first sight as soon as I stepped foot on the sands of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise. While Jared thought I was beautiful, he wasn’t sure he would match with a girl known for her crying and dramatics. The more we got to know each other, the more we connected, but Jared was not yet convinced enough in his feelings to leave the show as a couple. I was the opposite of what he imagined himself with. Jared saw himself with someone soft-spoken and demur, and I have always been highly emotional and expressive. Jared, on the other hand, was my type to a T. I loved his passionate, warm, jovial personality and melted when he quoted obscure Jerry Maguire lines. I left Paradise feeling like our relationship was far from over. We forged a close, flirty friendship. To be honest, it felt like we were dating without the physical component for a few years. Everyone wondered why we weren’t together, but Jared’s the kind of guy who doesn’t take action until the last minute. He needs to wait for a movie moment. That happened at the airport on vacation in St. Lucia, when I was about to board a flight with the guy I was dating at the time. Afraid of losing his chance forever, Jared pulled me out of the boarding line and kissed me dramatically. It was a real rom-com scene. We started dating soon after and were engaged just months after that on the very beach we met on three years prior. We married in August 2019 in Newport, RI in a grand, cinematic ceremony.

We were two complete strangers (and complete opposites) who fell in love in front of the entire world. Despite the pressure and chaos of navigating through a TV show, Jade and I felt an immediate connection. We took a leap of faith and got engaged within a month – after all, when you know, you know! What may have felt impulsive to some people, turned out to be the best decision of our lives. We are thrilled to have had such a beautiful marriage the past five years, and to now begin the journey of raising three wonderful children. Although each of our Bachelor seasons were unsuccessful, we are grateful to have been given the second chance on Bachelor in Paradise to find true love.

What’s meant to be will always find its way, and there is no couple that describes this concept quite like us. After my time as the bachelor and a brief engagement, I realized my love for Lauren was too strong to ignore. I proposed to Lauren in March of 2018, and by November of that same year, we were thrilled to find out we were expecting our first child! Together, we have gone through a rollercoaster of a relationship, filled with love and new beginnings. We both agree that our journey has made the two of us stronger than ever, and we are so grateful to have been given a second chance at finding love.
